Hooray for our Hero Hearty Hikers!
Congratulations to all our superstar members of #TeamNICHS who took on our ‘Glow For It Challenge’ and hiked at twilight to fundraise for the charity close to their hearts on Saturday 27th August 2022 under the blaze of the summer sun. It was a steeper climb than we imagined to the summit of Slieve Binnian (747m) but happily we all made it to the top and the stunning view was all the reward we required. Huge shout-out of thanks to everyone who took part and supported us, from the wonderful hospitality of the staff at Carrick Cottage Café, Annalong, and our amazing guides from Mike Smith Mountaineering who lead us back down safely in the dark. It was an awesome adventure we’ll all remember and all in aid of supporting the 1 in 5 people across Northern Ireland living with a chest, heart or stroke illness.
